The Tallis Consort Road Trip

Having decided to concentrate our efforts on a return to early repertoire in March of next year, with a concert based around the wonderful Thomas Tallis’ Lamentations of Jeremiah, Tallis Consort are trying out something different this Advent season.

A series of shorter performances in a variety of venues, as well as participating in a Service at Peel Cathedral (with half an hour of our wider Christmas repertoire before the service starts).

Saturday December 17th UP NORTH

2.15 (or thereabouts) 20-30 minutes of Christmas music in an informal atmosphere with a selection of Tallis singers at Shakti Man, the Fair-trade shop in Parliament Street, Ramsey.

Between 3.30 and 5.30 a similar selection at a pre-booked tea-time event at Milntown, Ramsey (tickets in advance and very limited, see their website)

Sunday December 18th PEEL

3pm the whole group giving a short Christmas recital in Peel Cathedral prior to:

3.30pm a service for the German community on the Isle of Man featuring the rest of our Christmas repertoire, with a particular focus on German music. All welcome
