Dr Peter Litman, Director of Music at the Cathedral states that  

"The Cathedral Choir sing a concert of sublime Advent music including works by Palestrina, Poston, Tallis and Joubert.  The centre piece of the short concert is Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb. A rarely heard piece on

the island, the lyrics which celebrate all life were written by Christopher Smart during his time in Bedlam. Britten’s use of word painting and mastery of composition makes this work an enduring classic. Entry is free.

Coardailys Choir and Renaissance Recorder Ensemble will be presenting a candlelit concert of Music and Spoken Word “Joy and Harmony”.  Entrance is free and there will be a retiring collection in aid of St George's Church.

Friday 17th December 2021 at Lezayre Church & Northern Arts Centre at 7.30 pm.

Saturday 18th December 2021 at St Mary's Church, Hill Street, Douglas at 7.30 pm.

An evening of Festive Music and Verse by the Tallis Consort. Admission is free.

in the Corrin Hall, Peel

Instrumental and vocal Festive Music to celebrate Old Christmas Day.
